Salvation - what is that?
When God created you he did it to have a relationship with you. His heart was that you would know him and be with him. God created man in the Garden of Eden. But then came the tempter, Satan, in the shape of a snake. He tempted man to eat of the forbidden tree. God had said to man that they were allowed to eat all the fruit in the garden, except from, from the tree that gave knowledge about good and evil. If they were to eat from the tree they would die. But Satan told Eve, "you will not die, but become like God. It ended up with her and Adam believing the lie, and they ate from the forbidden tree.
This resulted in sin and death coming into the world. Man got two kinds of "Death", a spiritual one (loosing contact with the God) and a physical one (the soul leaves the body and you physically die). Since God is holly and veracious he couldn’t let man into the Kingdom of heaven. He couldn’t have fellowship with them, because of the sin in all people’s lives. Then God got an idea. He sent his only son, Jesus, down to the Earth in a human’s body. With the goal being to win the people for God. Jesus was born at about 2000 years ago, and he was 100% human and 100% God. But coming to Earth He left all his divinity. Jesus lives a perfect life, He never sin. He healed the sick and did well for everyone around him.
When Jesus was about 33 years old, he was taken captured, beaten, spat at, and mocked, till he was crucified. This happened in Jerusalem. The romans crucified him, under the leadership of Pontius Pilatus. When this happened Satan thought he had won over God, but he was wrong. Because when Jesus died He worked like a lighting rod for us humans. The Father put all the sin, suffering and sickness of the world on Jesus. Jesus took both yours and my sin on the cross.
TRIUMPHED OVER DEATH
Then something amazing happened. After three days, Jesus stood up again from the dead. Jesus overcame death and he triumphed over sin and the Kingdom of darkness that had kept people trapped in servitude. Then Jesus was crowned king, and he went up to heaven and sat down at the Father’s right hand. Right after Jesus’ resurrection ha revealed himself to his disciples and for 500 other followers – and with unerring proof. They saw Jesus, they talked with him and they came to understand that he was Messiah. The king that had been promised. The disciples mission was to go out and tell the world about Jesus, and so they did. Because now, all people can have a relationship with God and have eternal life – get saved.
HOW DOES THIS APPEAL TO YOUR LIFE
Yes, you are born on this planet, and automatically you’re under the same curse as Adam and Eve. The curse of sin. You have made mistakes, you have sinned and you deserve a life away from God forever.
But because of God’s great grace through Jesus Christ, there is hope. You can become a child of God by inviting Jesus into your heart. By giving Him your life, by accepting the salvation Jesus made available on the cross. In the Bible it says that if you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17
YOU CAN BE SAVED TODAY
It is possible for you to be saved today, and right now. You can receive Jesus by inviting Him into your heart. If you want this, you can pray this for yourself:
Salvation - prayer
Dear Father in Heaven. I have sinned against you with my actions and mistakes that I have made in mye life. I ask for your forgiveness for all my mistakes. I thank you Jesus for that you died for me on the cross and that you stood up from dead at the third day. Jesus, I invite you into my heart . Come into my heart Jesus. I give you my life. I give you my heart, and I choose to receive you as who you are. Jesus I will from now let you be the king of my heart. Come into my life and be my Lord. Thanks for your love and goodness. Thanks for letting me be your child, thanks for being my Lord and savior. I am now a citizen of Heaven and I belong to the Kingdom of God.
I declare that I am now a child of God, born again, received forgiveness from all my sin. I proclaim that I am now a believer, a follower of Jesus. I deny the devil and all his works. And I thank you God that I belong to you, and that I am washed clean in the blood of the lamb. AMEN!

- Try to attend an “Alpha course”. An intro class to Christianit
- Try to join the Firestarters course
- Find good spiritual music (Jesus Culture, Hillsong)
- Read uplifting books.
- Learn to pray
- Absorb lessons you can find – podcasts are amazing help (Bethel Church, Hillsong f. ex.)
